WASHINGTON, March 4 -- Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Virginia, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senators Mark R. Warner and Tim Kaine joined Senator Elizabeth Warren, as well as a bicameral group of their colleagues, in urging U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Thomas Vilsack to issue guidance clarifying college students' eligibility for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to address the growing food insecurity crisis among college students.
