HARTFORD, Connecticut, March 4 -- Connecticut Attorney General William Tong issued the following news release on March 3, 2022:
Attorney General William Tong announced today Purdue Pharma and the Sackler family will pay $6 billion to victims, survivors, and states for their role in the opioid epidemic--40 percent more than the previously vacated settlement appealed by Connecticut.
