WASHINGTON, March 2 -- House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Maryland, issued the following news release on March 1, 2022:
This morning, House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (MD) joined with Joe Madison on SiriusXM to discuss H.R. 55, the Emmett Till Antilynching Act and voting rights. H.R. 55, which passed the House last night with a strong bipartisan vote of 422-3, would designate lynching as a hate crime under federal law. See below for excerpts.
