Sen. King Cosponsors Bill to Help Asylum Seekers Obtain Jobs Quicker

WASHINGTON, Feb. 18 -- Sen. Angus S. King Jr., I-Maine, issued the following news release:

In a bipartisan effort to allow asylum seekers find employment quicker and become self-sufficient, U.S. Senator Angus King (I-Maine) is cosponsoring legislation introduced by Senators Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) to shorten the waiting period before asylum seekers are allowed to receive work authorizations.
