WASHINGTON, Feb. 12 -- Rep. Ted Budd, R-North Carolina, issued the following news release on Feb. 11, 2022:
Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) announced a wave of new support for the Stopping Traffickers and Their Accomplices Act. Rep. Budd introduced the bill on February 1, 2022.
The bill would require abortion providers to file a report with the National Human Trafficking Hotline if they have a reasonable suspicion to believe that a woman is a victim of human trafficking.
