TOPEKA, Kansas, Feb. 9 -- The Kansas Democratic Party issued the following news release on Feb. 8, 2022:
The Republican-controlled Senate overrode Governor Laura Kelly's veto of the heavily gerrymandered Ad Astra 2 map after the veto failed yesterday. The new Republican votes come on the heels of the Senate Public Health and Welfare Committee greenlighting off-label COVID-19 bills that would benefit Senator Mark Steffen, who is currently under investigation for prescribing iver . . .
