LANSING, Michigan, Feb. 9 -- Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, D-Michigan, issued the following news release on Feb. 8, 2022:
Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced today that the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) granted her request on behalf of the state of Michigan to expand the eligibility for waivers for Michigan workers who received Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA).
"Michiganders should not be penalized for doing what was right at the time they applied for federal pan . . .
