WASHINGTON, Feb. 8 -- Rep. David Trone, D-Maryland, issued the following news release on Feb. 7, 2022:
Congressmen David Trone (D-MD), Tom Emmer (R-MN), Michael Turner (R-OH), and Paul Tonko (D-NY) introduced the Due Process Continuity of Care Act. This bill would amend the Medicaid Inmate Exclusion Policy (MIEP), which currently denies Medicaid coverage to all incarcerated individuals, to allow coverage for pre-trial detainees.
