TOPEKA, Kansas, Feb. 4 -- The Kansas Democratic Party issued the following news release:
Governor Laura Kelly vetoed the heavily gerrymandered Ad Astra 2 map, citing the dilution of minority communities' voting strength and the separation of communities of interest. The map fails to adhere to the legislature's redistricting guidelines, and due to Kansas Republicans' complete lack of transparency, lacks any justification as to why it deviated.
