WASHINGTON, Feb. 3 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, issued the following news release on Feb. 2, 2022:
U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that AmeriCorps has awarded a $225,000 to Corporation for Ohio Appalachian Development (COAD) in Athens through the AmeriCorps Seniors American Rescue Plan Senior Demonstration Program. These funds will support 30 AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers who will provide mentoring and tutoring, as well as classroom, family, and emotional support . . .
