FORT GAINES, Georgia, Feb. 3 -- Rep. Sanford D. Bishop Jr., D-Georgia, issued the following news release on Feb. 2, 2022:
Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) applauded the recent announcement by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development to award the City of Fort Gaines $169,800 to purchase patrol vehicles and security equipment. The award -- a $100,000 grant and a $69,800 loan -- will be matched with $68,000 from the city. The USDA Rural Development funding . . .
