WASHINGTON, Feb. 3 -- Rep. Carol Miller, R-West Virginia, issued the following remarks on Feb. 2, 2022:

Today, during a Ways and Means Committee hearing titled, "America's Mental Health Crisis," Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) shed light on the negative impact COVID-19 lockdowns have on people struggling with mental health or substance abuse.

Between April 2020 and April 2021, there were more than 1,600 drug overdose deaths in West Virginia and 100,000 . . .
