VIENNA, Austria, Feb. 1 -- The International Press Institute issued the following news on Jan. 31, 2022:
In receiving the Nobel Peace Prize last December, Russian editor Dmitry Muratov noted that "journalism in Russia is going through a dark valley". This opinion is also shared by IPI member Nadezhda Azhgikhina, who in an interview with IPI spoke about the threats, intimidation, and violent attacks that journalists in Russia face, as well as the additional burden of sexism . . .
