WASHINGTON, Jan. 28 -- Rep. Gregory Murphy, R-North Carolina, issued the following news release on Jan. 27, 2022:
Rep. Greg Murphy, M.D. (NC-03), a member of the Ways and Means Committee, signed a bipartisan letter with 190 colleagues urging the Treasury Department to reduce IRS backlog and bring relief to taxpayers.
"While the COVID-19 pandemic has strained every federal agency, the impact on the IRS has been particularly severe," wrote the group of lawmakers . . .
