REDFORD, Michigan, Jan. 27 -- Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, D-Michigan, issued the following news release:
Governor Gretchen Whitmer proposed an electric vehicle rebate in her State of the State address. The $2,000 rebate for a new electric vehicle and $500 rebate for at-home charging infrastructure can be paired with the $7,500 federal tax credit, knocking nearly $10,000 off the price of a new electric car, including those being built in Michigan.
