WASHINGTON, Jan. 26 -- Rep. Ted Budd, R-North Carolina, issued the following news release on Jan. 25, 2022:

Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) sent a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken asking for a plan to evacuate all American citizens in Ukraine who wish to leave.

Given the Biden administration's failure to protect Americans during last year's withdrawal from Afghanistan, the letter expresses rightful concern about the safety of American citizens abroad.
