N.J. Gov. Murphy Signs Executive Order Updating State Commission Charged With Facilitating Response Plans for Chemical Releases

TRENTON, New Jersey, Jan. 21 -- Gov. Phil Murphy, D-New Jersey, issued the following news release on Jan. 20, 2022:

Governor Murphy today signed an executive order updating the State Emergency Response Commission (SERC), which is charged with facilitating local response plans for chemical release emergencies. The Commission was established in 1987 during the Kean Administration in response to the federal Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act.
