U.S. Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL), Steve Daines (R-MT), and colleagues introduced a Senate Concurrent Resolution (S.Con.Res.27) designating January 16, 2022 as Religious Freedom Day. The resolution commemorates the 236th Anniversary of the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom, a landmark achievement that laid the foundations for the First Amendment.
