WASHINGTON, Jan. 12 -- Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-West Virginia, issued the following news release on Jan. 11, 2022:

U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) today joined a group of her colleagues to oppose attempts by Senate Democrats to use the "nuclear option" to radically change the Senate's filibuster rules and abolish the 60-vote threshold when considering legislation.
