WASHINGTON, Dec. 24 -- The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee issued the following news release on Dec. 23, 2021:

In 2021, Senate campaigns have been dominated by "nasty" GOP primaries, candidates trading "brutal" attacks, and sparring over "fealty" to Trump - setting the stage for "long, contentious and expensive" primary battles that will leave their candidates "bloodied and cash-poor" heading into the general election.
