WASHINGTON, Dec. 18 -- Sen. Susan M. Collins, R-Maine, issued the following news release:
The Senate Commerce Committee advanced the Improving Protections for Midshipmen Act. The bipartisan legislation, which was co-authored by U.S. Senators Susan Collins (R-ME), Roger Wicker (R-MS), and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), would strengthen Sexual Assault/Sexual Harassment (SASH) prevention, response, investigation, and accountability in the maritime industry and provide additional safeguards . . .
