WASHINGTON, Dec. 16 -- Rep. Ted Budd, R-North Carolina, issued the following news release:
Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) has helped introduce the Protect Our Law Enforcement with Immigration Control and Enforcement (POLICE) Act. The bill amends the Immigration and Nationality Act to explicitly state that assaulting a police officer is a deportable offense.
The bill was led by Rep. Andrew Garbarino (R-NY).
