WASHINGTON, Dec. 11 -- Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-New York, issued the following news release:
The House of Representatives passed the Protecting Democracy Act, which included four amendments offered by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Her first amendment expands the definition of nepotistic practices to include the executive office of the president. Currently, the definition only applies to federal agencies.
