ATLANTA, Georgia, Dec. 11 -- Rep. Nikema Williams, D-Georgia, issued the following news release:
Congresswoman Nikema Williams (GA-05) led the introduction of a bipartisan bill to rename the metro Atlanta VA Medical Center the "Joseph Maxwell Cleland Atlanta Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center." Sen. Cleland passed away on November 9, 2021, at the age of 79. Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.) led the legislation in the Senate.
