WASHINGTON, Dec. 7 -- Rep. John Moolenaar, R-Michigan, issued the following news release on Dec. 5, 2021:
This morning, former Senator Bob Dole passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 98. Dole served his country in the European Theater during World War II where he sustained injuries that he would carry with him the rest of his life. His service as a captain in the Army earned him the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.
