WASHINGTON, Dec. 3 -- Sen. Joe Manchin, D-West Virginia, issued the following news release on Dec. 2, 2021:
U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) voted to prevent a government shutdown and fund the federal government through February 18th, 2022 through a continuing resolution.
"In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and as the new Omicron variant emerges, I will not vote to shut down the government for purely political reasons. There is too much at stake for the American . . .
