TOPEKA, Kansas, Nov. 30 -- The Kansas Democratic Party issued the following news release on Nov. 29, 2021:
Attorney General Derek Schmidt, in his latest mishandling of Kansans' taxpayer dollars, was on the losing end of an appeal of a Hutchinson man who was forced to serve excessive time and whose Fifth Amendment right was violated, costing Kansas taxpayers $133,000, the Topeka Capital-Journal reported.
