Senate Indian Affairs Committee Issues Testimony From Assistant Secretary of Interior for Indian Affairs

WASHINGTON, Nov. 30 -- The Senate Indian Affairs Committee issued the following testimony by Bryan Newland, assistant secretary of Interior for Indian Affairs, involving a legislative hearing Nov. 17, 2021, on four bills.
The bills are Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina Recognition Act (S. 1364), Pala Band of Mission Indians Land Transfer Act (H.R. 1975), Eastern Band of Cherokee Historic Lands Reacquisition Act (H.R. 2088) and Old Pascua Community Land Acquisition Act (H.R. 4881):
