ST. PAUL, Minnesota, Nov. 27 -- Gov. Tim Walz, D-Minnesota, issued the following proclamation on Nov. 26, 2021:
WHEREAS: In honor of Thanksgiving Day in 2016, President Barack Obama wrote, "This history teaches us that the American instinct has never been to seek isolation in opposite corners; it is to find strength in our common creed and forge unity from our great diversity... We give thanks for our troops and our veterans - and their families - who give of themselves to prot . . .
