WASHINGTON, Nov. 23 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, issued the following news release:
U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced the Department of Justice's (DOJ) Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) Hiring Program (CHP) has awarded $750,000 to the Whitehall Department of Police to hire six new law enforcement officers. According to the Justice Department, CHP provides funding to address the full-time sworn officer needs of state, local, and tribal law enforcemen . . .
