LANSING, Michigan, Nov. 20 -- Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, D-Michigan, issued the following news release:
Governor Whitmer applauded federal funding for four local police departments across Michigan, who were awarded over $1.8 million from the U.S. Department of Justice to hire more law enforcement officers to enhance public safety through tested, proven community-oriented policing services.
