Reps. Butterfield, Takano Introduce Bill to Honor Veteran Sarah Keys Evans

WASHINGTON, Nov. 12 -- Rep. G.K. Butterfield, D-North Carolina, issued the following news release on Nov. 11, 2021:

This week, in celebration of Veterans Day, Congressman G. K. Butterfield (NC-01) and Congressman Mark Takano (CA-41), Chairman of the House Committee on Veterans Affairs, introduced H.R. 5922, the Sarah Keys Evans Congressional Gold Medal Act. This bill honors Sarah Keys Evans, a veteran and pivotal figure in the civil rights movement.
