HOUSTON, Texas, Nov. 10 (TNSEve) -- The University of Houston issued the following news release:

Controversy was sparked immediately with the recent redrawing of the state's voting districts, and it continued as the matter passed through both state houses and was signed into law Oct. 25 by Gov. Greg Abbott.
