WASHINGTON, Nov. 5 -- Sen. James Lankford, R-Oklahoma, issued the following news release on Nov. 4, 2021:
Senator James Lankford (R-OK) today opposed the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act of 2021,(also known as S.4). Lankford has been outspoken that Democrats' attempt to federalize our elections comes with significantnegative consequences for our nation's free and fair elections. The procedural vote to move forward to debate the bill failed by a vote of 50-49.
