U.S. Sen. Mark R. Warner (D-VA) issued the following statement after the Senate failed to move forward with the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act of 2021 - bipartisan legislation to safeguard voting rights:
"The Senate has once again failed to safeguard voting rights, this time by refusing to allow debate on a bipartisan bill to protect access to the bal . . .
