WASHINGTON, Nov. 4 -- Sen. Benjamin Cardin, D-Maryland, issued the following news release:

U.S. Senators Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen, and Congressmen Steny H. Hoyer, Dutch Ruppersberger, John Sarbanes, Kweisi Mfume, Anthony G. Brown, Jamie Raskin, and David Trone wrote to Governor Larry Hogan Wednesday to set the record straight after a misleading letter and press pronouncements that publicly mischaracterized the state of Federal Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funds.
