New Mexico State University Anthropology Students Get Hands-On Experience at Utah Excavation

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico, Nov. 3 (TNSOps) -- New Mexico State University issued the following news on Nov. 1, 2021:

New Mexico State University anthropology students had the chance to participate in the first professional excavation and exploration of an archeological site in southeastern Utah inhabited by ancestors of the Pueblo people.

Fumi Arakawa, professor in the Department of Anthropology, was one of the co-principal investigators on the excavation project conducted . . .
