WASHINGTON, Oct. 28 -- Sen. Susan M. Collins, R-Maine, issued the following news release:

In a bipartisan effort to improve mental health care across the nation, U.S. Senators Susan Collins (R-ME) and Tina Smith (D-MN), members of the Senate Health Committee, introduced the Medicare Mental Health Inpatient Equity Act, legislation that would permanently repeal the Medicare 190-day lifetime limit for inpatient psychiatric care.
