WASHINGTON, Oct. 27 -- Rep. David Rouzer, R-North Carolina, issued the following news release on Oct. 26, 2021:
Yesterday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed legislation which would posthumously award the Congressional Gold Medal to the 13 U.S. military servicemembers who were killed in Afghanistan on August 26, 2021. Congressman Rouzer (R-NC) joined Congresswoman Lisa McClain (R-MI) in introducing this legislation in August.
