WASHINGTON, Oct. 23 -- Rep. Robert C. Scott, D-Virginia, chairman of the House Education and Labor Committee, issued the following news release on Oct. 22, 2021:
The House passed bipartisan legislation that would strengthen and expand workplace protections for nursing mothers. The Providing Urgent Maternal Protections (PUMP) for Nursing Mothers Act requires employers to provide nursing workers the break time and privacy they need to pump at work to keep themselves and their infants . . .
