BATON ROUGE, Louisiana, Oct. 22 -- Gov. John Bel Edwards, D-Louisiana, issued the following news:
Gov. John Bel Edwards promoted Casey Tingle to the role of director of the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, following the resignation of Gen. James Waskom from the role he had served in since January 2016.
Waskom is on medical leave until January. Tingle will serve as acting director until that time.
