WASHINGTON, Oct. 20 -- Sen. Joe Manchin, D-West Virginia, issued the following news release on Oct. 19, 2021:
U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), Chairman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, led 36 bipartisan Senators in urging U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra to quickly release funds for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). In 2020, 49,272 West Virginia households received LIHEAP assistance.
