WASHINGTON, Oct. 14 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, chairman of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, issued the following news release on Oct. 13, 2021:
U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, sent a letter to Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell urging the Fed to take no further action deregulating the banking industry until the President has announced his nominees for upcoming Board terms.
