WASHINGTON, Oct. 8 -- Rep. Ted Budd, R-North Carolina, issued the following statement:

Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) has sponsored H.R.4212, Flag Code Modernization Act.

The bipartisan bill would amend the U.S. Flag Code to expand the number of American flag displays permitted under federal law.

Many flag customs are already commonplace, and the Flag Code Modernization Act would officially make them legal.
