WASHINGTON, Oct. 7 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that the Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management (FECM) has awarded two grants, totaling $2 million to Ohio University in Athens. This will support the development of new and safe uses of coal-wastes which will help create good-paying jobs in these communities.
