WASHINGTON, Oct. 5 -- Sen. Susan M. Collins, R-Maine, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced that the nomination of Assistant U.S. Attorney Darcie McElwee to be U.S. Attorney for the District of Maine was approved by the Senate Judiciary Committee by voice vote on Thursday, September 30th. Her nomination now awaits consideration by the full Senate. Senator Collins and Ms. McElwee are both natives of Caribou.
