WASHINGTON, Sept. 28 -- Rep. Ted Budd, R-North Carolina, issued the following statement:

Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) has sponsored H.R. 5284, the Home Educators are Teachers Act.
The bill would allow homeschool parents to be eligible for a $250 tax deduction for school supplies. The bill was originally introduced by Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC).
