U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) - Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, released the following statement after President Biden announced the nomination of Saule Omarova to lead the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). If confirmed, Omarova would be the first woman, and the first person of color to lead the agency in its 158-year history.
