WASHINGTON, Sept. 23 -- Rep. Nikema Williams, D-Georgia, issued the following news release on Sept. 22, 2021:
Congresswoman Nikema Williams (GA-05) released a new report from the Joint Economic Committee that found 108,400 jobs have been created in Georgia since President Biden took office. That represents a recovery of 82% of all jobs lost at the pandemic low. Georgia's unemployment rate has also decreased to 3.5%, well below the national unemployment rate of 5.2%.
