NEW YORK, Sept. 23 -- The U.S. Mission to the United Nations issued the following statement by U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Linda Thomas-Greenfield on U.S. participation in events related to the anniversary of the Durban Declaration:

The United States will not participate in the United Nations 20th Anniversary Commemoration of the Durban Declaration and Program of Action (DDPA) consistent with longstanding U.S. policy going back multiple administrations.
